This is a plan to build a house for a couple and two children on the site of the owner's parents' house. By lengthening the eaves of the main house, a natural approach is created and a gentle connection is created between the main house and the courtyard. The cedar plank exterior walls have vertical windows to convey the spatial composition of the interior.
