House along the Cherry Trees
bookmark_outline
Toshihito Yokouchi | Architect & Associates
Outline
This is a two-story house with one basement floor built with the trees of the existing site. The west side of the house is lined with cherry blossom trees, while the east side features a view of a mountain stream, which is common in the Rokko mountain range, utilizing the topography, existing trees and stones. The fence on the road side is not closed off, but connects the spaces along the topography, and the living room on the first floor is made to float in the air, and a patio is built underneath to connect the two gardens, east and west.
