Outline
Renovation of an old private house with a detached house. Most of the first floor of the main house, except for the Japanese-style room and the water area, is finished with an earthen floor so that it can be connected to the garden and the detached house and so that it can be easily used for activities with the feet down. By using translucent polycarbonate panels as part of the interior and exterior walls, we were able to bring light into the room and at the same time visualize the process of renovation and the formation of the walls, which consist of existing pillars, intercolumns, furring strips, and polycarbonate panels.
