Outline
The building is located in the suburbs of Tokyo in a relatively large area. Because the building-to-land ratio is 40%, the 60% of vacant land is distributed into four sections to build a relationship with the neighborhood and the city. The kitchen and living room are positioned as an extension of the open space, and are gently divided by the arrangement of furniture and stairwells. By controlling the choice of materials and the way they appear, we attempt to allow for the miscellaneous things that accompany daily life.
