This is a two-family house built on a large site on top of a small hill. A series of gate-shaped frames, ranging in size from three feet to two and a half feet, are used to divide a room into upper and lower, east and west, and to blur the boundary between inside and outside. The boundary of the site is also defined by the landscape of the house.
