SHIMPEI ODA ARCHITECT’S OFFICE
Outline
In a two-story house in a dense residential area that needed structural reinforcement, three rooms were inserted as volumes of the structure. The space was painted white to let in the outside light and to reveal the texture of the existing columns and beams. The opening of the atelier facing the alley is changed to a large glass window and door to connect to the city.
