Hideki Ishii Architect Atelier
Outline
Rather than expressing the function as the name of the room, I planned the difference of steps, the height of the ceiling, and the change of materials and light so that people can choose their movement by the spatial elements. Because of the street in front of the site and the client's request, the house is closed to the outside and has three woodland gardens and a figure-8 space inside. The kitchen, which looks like a piece of furniture, and the water basin, which is carved into the floor and located in the line of flow, were also created to create a space.
