Outline
While retaining the existing trees, the garden is designed with a balance of evergreen and deciduous trees, and the layout is integrated with the surrounding greenery. The building is built on a semi-basement level made of concrete, incorporating the original difference in level between the road in front and the garden, on top of which large and small wooden boxes are placed. The half-basement level is integrated with the ground to maintain a stable temperature, while the wooden part allows for the passage of wind while taking in the changes of time and seasons.
