Eleven wooden units are staggered and arranged to enclose the courtyard in a U-shape. Each unit is made up of 25mm thick laminated cedar wood ribbed columns, canes, and beams arranged at a 303mm pitch. The ribs also function as the vertical ribs of the shelves. The heat is collected in the attic and sent to the subfloor by a fan, making it a simple floor heater.
