Outline
Renovation of the second floor of a 70-year-old private house. The extensions that have been repeatedly added to the house were removed, and small rooms in the shape of a house were arranged. For the fittings of the small rooms, heat-insulating shoji screens made of hollow vinyl sheets drummed with heat-insulating shoji paper were used to increase the heat-insulating performance of each small room. In addition, the attic is covered with wood-wool cement, which not only has a humidity control effect but also ensures rigidity.
