A house in Kitashirakawa

Outline
Using the arch around the approach on the existing exterior as a clue, the second floor of this house is designed as a single room with a skip floor. By starting from a low level of 1,500mm from the floor with a void ceiling close to the cycloid curve, a sense of spatial unity is created, making the room a "skip void".
