Renovation of a 40-year-old building with 3 floors above ground and 1 floor below. A hole is made in the center of the third floor, and a large piece of furniture with a staircase is placed directly under the hole. This minimal manipulation of the furniture creates a connection between the second and third floors, and the second floor becomes a gently partitioned space.
