TUTANAGA HOUSE

SHOGO ARATANI ARCHITECT & ASSOCIATES
Outline
In response to the fact that the house is built in a densely populated residential area, the idea was to create a distance from the surrounding environment through the composition of the interior space, rather than through external means such as morphological manipulation. Even though there are large openings facing the neighboring houses and the street, the position of the openings and the way the walls are constructed block the line of sight while diffusing the light from the openings.
