Considering the scale of the surrounding buildings and for the sake of privacy, the house was designed as a single-story building that occupies the entire site. Within the enclosed area, a variety of exterior and interior spaces of varying sizes are created to create a light and airy space. The subtle differences in the materials used and the shading of light in each room create shades of space within the expanse of the house as a whole.
