House in Sano ─Large Roof House

architect cafe Mikio Tai Architect and Associates
Outline
The large roof is designed to be a part of the landscape, which is located between the urban order of the local subdivision and the free landscape of the countryside. In order to create a larger one-room space, the structure consists of a 12-meter-long H-steel beam with laminated wood rafters. Details such as the eaves and the interplay between the steel beams and the wooden pillars make the shape of the large roof more beautiful.
