Masahiro Harada+MAO /MOUNT FUJI ARCHITECTS STUDIO
Outline
This project is located in the center of a regional city, on a long and narrow site measuring 50 meters from north to south and 4 to 5 meters in width. Surrounded by mid- and high-rise buildings, three reinforced concrete walls of different heights are arranged to maximize the length of the site. The exterior walls are concrete walls with pleated folds made of lauan plywood clapboard formwork to amplify the changes caused by light, and the interior walls are white plastered to catch the light from the slits and the reflected light from the water table.
