Outline
The site is a residential area with a view of the Seto Inland Sea to the east and distant mountains to the west. The single-story house is roofed with a shell structure to open it up to the sea, and a courtyard on the mountain side to bring in the wide, blessed environment. The roof is a 120mm thick slab with single reinforcement. The steel frame is used as an auxiliary structure, and the reinforced concrete bearing walls are placed in the XY direction in a balanced manner to make the frame thin. The pillars that support the center of the shell are also made thin by working like support pillars (100x60, 100x100) and incorporated into the sash to make the connection between inside and outside ambiguous.
