Outline
This is a renovation of a two-story wooden building in downtown Kobe. The theme of the renovation was not to modify the exterior, but to bring in light from the south and ventilation in the long, north-south eel bed. The second floor is made into one room by reinforcing the outer wall and the cane in the direction of the frontage without the wall in the direction of the frontage, and the roof surface on the south side is raised to let in the wind and light from the south.
