Outline
A studio-cum-residence on a long, narrow site, the house is designed to create a physical and mental distance between the studio, the place of creation on the first floor, and the residence, the place of living on the second floor. The house is surrounded on three sides by neighboring houses, and since it is impossible to get light from the walls, light is effectively brought in from the terrace and top lights.
