Outline
This is a public model house in Bihoro-cho, Hokkaido, realized as part of the "Model Development Project for Environmentally Symbiotic Housing in the 21st Century" sponsored by the Ministry of the Environment. It is a base facility for exploring the next generation of agriculture that aims to create a self-sufficient, self-reliant home for a large family while utilizing the natural energy unique to the region. Even in the midst of Hokkaido's harsh natural environment, a variety of configurations and architectural creations have been realized in order to create an open space.
