Outline
As the owner is an illustrator/artist, he requested a studio space for his work and to open a classroom in the future, in addition to the living space. Therefore, we secured the maximum volume according to the deformed site shape, and put the volume of 2.5 layers in it. The plan is divided into two parts, east and west, with the staircase at the center. Two levels of space with a vaulted ceiling and three levels of space including a half-floor are created to secure the necessary space and create a complex space with a gentle connection. Structurally, the building is constructed using conventional construction methods on the exterior and 2×4 construction methods on the interior.
