Outline
This wooden one-story house with a tea ceremony room stands on a hill overlooking a tributary of the Nagara River. Large openings on the north and south sides allow views of the mountains to be enjoyed through the interior. Inside, the ceiling height is kept low for a low-seated lifestyle. The exterior walls are covered with sawara hageboards.
