The site is located on the northern slope of Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, in a residential area surrounded by mountains and shaped like a horse's back. The kitchen is placed along the contour line of the slope to secure the view to the sea, and the living and dining rooms are placed in the area overhanging the ridge.
