This is a house for the owner, who lives a semi-agricultural life in a rural area with spreading fields. Warm air from a half-basement wood-burning stove heats the entire house, and the sloping roof minimizes the air volume. The sloping roof minimizes the air volume. The overlapping, swirling roofs are guided by the interior skip floor centered on the earthen floor.
