YUTAKA YOSHIDA ARCHITECT & ASSOCIATES
Outline
On the third floor, a half-height opening on the south side of the ceiling with a hip wall as high as a bench and a full-height opening to the rooftop terrace on the north side create a three-dimensional courtyard-like space that is slightly closed to the outside but open to the terrace. The ceiling height is set at 2,100mm on the first floor, 2,250mm on the second floor, and 3,750mm on the third floor in order to secure the volume of the third floor as much as possible within the road diagonal limit, while keeping the height of the first and second floors as low as possible and connecting each floor with a small number of steps.
