Shinichi Takeuchi Architect's office
Outline
The client's request was for a space that was open and had an unusual sense of fun. Therefore, a dry and simple system is used to create an architecture without architectural divisions such as room units, walls and openings, and hierarchies such as directions and floors. As a method, wall pieces of less than one layer in height (H=2.1m) are combined in the form of an igeta, shifting in the direction of the plan and the section, to create a space with a maze-like cross-section with many folds and gaps.
