Outline
The house is built on a site overlooking a mountain with a spectacular view of Saitama Prefecture. Various types and ages of wood, stone, and metal are used as the master materials, and the construction is carried out by carpenters using joints and fittings without using metal fittings. Doors and fittings made by traditional craftsmen are also used throughout the interior, creating an architecture based on the techniques and craftsmen's intuition that Japan has cultivated over many years.
