Outline
A house built in Iwamizawa, Hokkaido. The exterior walls are clad in thick boards made from local larch thinnings. The width of the wood is not uniform, so each piece was selected individually. The whole structure looks like three wooden boxes enclosed in one big box. The space between each box is an atrium, and on the second floor, the upper part of the box becomes the floor, creating a single room space connected by a bridge.
