House in maplewoods

Toshihito Yokouchi Architect & Associates
Outline
This is a reconstruction of an 80-year-old sukiya-style house. In order to inherit the memory of the original house, we used the old wood from the entrance and foyer in the new entrance, and the garden with maple as the main tree is the most important feature of the house. In order to maintain an intimate relationship with the garden, both the first and second floors feature a wet veranda facing the garden.
