KATSUMI NAKAMURA ARCHITECT AND ASSOCIATES
Outline
Two three-story atriums with glass roofs that softly connect each level are located in the center of the building. The living rooms and private rooms are all open to each other on each floor, making the entire building one large space. The ceiling height differs from floor to floor: 2,100 mm on the first floor, 3,450 mm on the second floor, 2,600 mm on the third floor, 3,050 mm on the fourth floor, and 2,300 mm on the fifth floor. The two atriums are semi-external with glass roofs, and light enters and diffuses through the glass screens and stainless steel lattice louvers.
