Outline
The four corners of the square plane are cut, and a sash for lighting and ventilation is installed in the corner cut. When the blinds of the sash are lowered, the light from the fixed glass shines evenly along the wall. The indirect light has the effect of dully illuminating the wood parts painted in a reddish pattern. The only heating system is a thermal storage heater in the entrance hall on the first floor, and the warmed air is naturally convected to the upper floor by the stairwell. There is no air-conditioning system because of the effective ventilation through the sash at the corner, the double insulation of the roof, and the wall ventilation.
