Outline
In order to maximize the view of the mountains to the south, the living room and the external terrace were designed to be as close to the outside as possible. The pillars that support the roof, which juts out approximately 6 meters, have been eliminated, and the living room and external terrace are treated equally. On the north side of the building, a horizontal opening was created to cut through the scenery of the Seto Inland Sea and Miyajima Island. The entire building is covered with a waterproof material used in shipbuilding, which eliminates the need for structural elements.
