Outline
The garden that continues from the site on the west is left as a blank space and enclosed by an L-shaped building. Using the 1.5-story difference in elevation from the street level, the ground is dug into the ground to create a half-basement that also serves as a foundation, and the volume is raised on top of it using the remaining soil. The interior space is composed of the family room with a vaulted ceiling. The line of sight from each room leads to the family room through the T-shaped atrium, and once buffered, it leads to the garden in a three-dimensional manner.
