IIDA ARCHISHIP STUDIO
Outline
The house is built in an environment where the outside temperature drops to minus 15 degrees Celsius in winter, so OM Solar is used. Because the surrounding area is densely covered with tall trees, the roof is low in the south and rises toward the north, creating an elongated east-west shape that minimizes the impact on the OM Solar heat collection surface. In addition, the living space is separated from the ground and floated in the air in order to avoid the effects of snow and moisture. The openings in each room were determined by the relationship with the rich forest in front of the house.
