EIZO SHIINA Architect & Associates
Outline
The building stands along the contour line on a gentle slope 1,000m above sea level. Entering through the 5.6m high entrance door, the two-story atrium bends in an L-shape, passing through a crevasse (corridor) with top lights to a spacious living room with 4.8m high ceilings. From there, the terrace opens up to a magnificent view. A tea ceremony room with all fittings removed from the openings and a full-scale observatory with a dark blue dome are also incorporated.
