Outline
The first floor is used as the base of the entire building, and the area above the second floor is created as the largest legally possible box, and a floor of the necessary size is suspended inside the box to create a living room. The suspended floor also serves as the ceiling of the space below. The floor is suspended from a large beam by rods, so the space is cleaner than if it were supported from below by pillars.
