COMMUNITY CENTER IN SOUTH SHOUNA;JORDAN

Outline
This is a community center for the poor built in the South Schooner area of Jordan. It was constructed by mixing the traditional Jordanian construction methods of masonry, sandbagging and reinforced concrete. Inside the building, there is a series of stone arches with a span of 5.5 m at a pitch of 2.5 m. The dome made of sandbags was self-built by local residents.
