This is a private members-only library that holds books on architecture and art collected by takao habuka, the designer of this project. the structural materials, interior and exterior walls are all made of yoshino cedar from nara prefecture. the vertical stile and frame of the kumiko sliding door, made of vertical reddish cedar wood, can be fully opened with special hardware.
