NAGOYA TV TOWER

Outline
Designed by Takenaka Naito in 1954, this was Japan's first concentrated television tower, which has been used for tourism since analog broadcasting ended in 2011. In order to ensure the safety of the tower and to secure the passage from north to south, seismic isolation under the foundation using the retrofit method and evacuation stairs were secured to improve safety and to change the use of the tower from a structure to a building.
