KAWAWA NURSERY SCHOOL
ATSUSHI IDE+KATSUHIKO KATO/
- Outline
- This is a relocation and reconstruction of a nursery school that has been in operation for 76 years, with a hall that serves as a staircase connecting three separate nursery volumes. A hall that also serves as a stairwell connects the three separate nursery volumes. The shape of the site gently encloses the schoolyard. An exterior corridor circles the building, connecting not only the second-floor nursery and the schoolyard, but also the rooftop and the southern slope, so that the entire site can be used.
