- This is the third phase of the "Passive Town" project, which is a sustainable "town and home" project that makes maximum use of natural energy, and is being undertaken by the YKK Group on a former company housing site in Kurobe City, Toyama Prefecture. Two 30-year-old family-type housing complexes located on the south side of the site are renovated to provide thermal insulation and housing for single people; in one of the complexes, the fourth floor is reduced to create a terrace on the roof, and a community center is added on the first floor.
