SHIZUYA KYOTO

Outline
A 50-year-old ryokan and a wooden apartment building were renovated into two guest houses, OMOYA and HANARE. Because the site is located in a secluded area, the use of paving stones, black iron sheets, and plants in the alleyway creates a Kyoto-like alley space that connects the buildings with the surrounding townscape.
