Outline
The opera house, which was selected for the international design competition in 2005, is a reinforced concrete (partially steel-framed) structure with two basement floors and six above-ground floors currently under construction in Taichung City. At present, the steel frame of the basement and the fly tower is under construction, and a mock-up is also under construction. Construction is scheduled to be completed in September 2013.
