Yusuhara is one of the thirteen environmental model towns in Japan, and this town station is equipped with accommodation facilities. The exterior materials are made of thatch, which has excellent moisture control and heat insulation properties. 2000 x 980mm thatch units are stacked on top of each other. The units can be rotated around the axis of rotation to let outside air into the room.
