Ogura House: Restoration To Blend in with The Surrounding Environment / Approx. 80 Years Old
Yasunori Aoki First-Class Architect Office
- Outline
- An 80-year-old farm equipment shed was reconstructed as a residence for a couple and their two children. While retaining the existing structural materials, reinforcing materials were added to the horizontal openings. The exterior blends in with the rural landscape, while the interior contains a modern living space. The openings that serve as interfaces are carefully cut out of the landscape.
