This is a plan for the renovation of a brick building that was built in 1926 as the Hokkaido Teng Library, and later used as the Hokkaido Art Museum and the Hokkaido Archives Annex, into a confectionary shop. Only the brick wall facing the main street is preserved, and the rest of the building is newly constructed. The central three spans of the brick wall are reinforced with new reinforcing bars, and the brick walls at both ends are reinforced with reinforced concrete walls and new reinforced concrete beams.
