A new station at the nexus of the JR Sanyo Main Line, the Sanyo Shinkansen, and the Astram Line. The station building of the Astram Line Shin-Hakushima Station was built in the middle of Route 54. The cylindrical shell is made of 9mm-thick steel plates painted white, creating a space where the aboveground and underground are integrated. Natural light falls from round top lights of various sizes.
