WAGENKAN FUKAKUSA CAMPUS RYUKOKU UNIVERSITY

Outline
The new building was constructed when the School of International Studies moved to the new campus. It consists of a lecture building (right) and a library building (left). A street leading from the east gate on the line of traffic from the station runs between the two buildings. The east-west slab (147 m at its longest point) is supported by a distributed steel-framed reinforced concrete core and steel columns, eliminating load-bearing walls around the perimeter and aiming for an open space where students' activities are exposed to the outside world.
