This is a renovation plan for the Chiba University Memorial Auditorium (designed by Fumihiko Maki and Takenaka Corporation, completed in 1963, Journal of Chiba University 6412), which was built on the Inohana Campus of Chiba University to commemorate the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Faculty of Medicine. While preserving and inheriting the original design, we reinforced the building against earthquakes, rebuilt the exterior walls, and refurbished the interior of the hall and foyer. The pillars of the ladder-shaped frame were reinforced with 150 mm thick reinforced concrete for seismic reinforcement.
