bookmark_outline
KEIO UNIVERSITY SFC MATSUBARA HIRONORI LABORATORY, DR CONGO ACADEX PRIMARY SCHOOL
Outline
It was constructed on the premises of a teachers' college in the center of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, with the grass-roots cultural grant aid (10 million yen) from the Japanese government. Under the condition that the construction is carried out by the local residents, the design incorporates Japanese technology as appropriate to the limited cost and materials, and realizes the best architecture for the local community, even if it is not the latest, such as a large space and a system to collect rainwater.
